FAQ

Questions parents ask first

Can a stranger reach my child?

No. The only people who can ever join are you and your own kids. There are no public servers, no friend lists, no discovery, and no chat with anyone outside your family.

Why does it cost money if there are no ads?

Because the alternative is making money off your kid — ads, data, or in-game purchases. I won't. One $30$20 payment funds the whole thing, so your child is never sold anything and never tracked.

Why not just buy Minecraft?

PixelVoxel is Minecraft's joy without its risks: no strangers on servers, no chat, no dying, no monsters. And you can build together as a family — you and up to three kids in one shared world, siblings side by side — and choose what they learn to unlock, things Minecraft can't promise.

Can my kids play together?

Yes. Up to four of you can build in one shared world — you and up to three kids. Siblings build side by side, each as themselves — their own name, their own colour — and you can drop into any of their worlds and land right next to them. It's still family-only: the only people who can ever join are you and your own kids — no strangers, no public servers, no friend lists, no chat with anyone outside your family.

Is it educational?

You decide. Turn on learn-to-earn and pick the subject and grade; your child solves it to unlock more play. Questions are read aloud, so even pre-readers can play, and answers are checked on my server so they can't be guessed.

Will it nag my kid to buy things?

Never. There is nothing for your child to buy and nothing for them to watch. Inside the game, fun is unlocked by learning, not money. The only account with a card is yours.

Do I have to download anything?

No. It runs in any browser — open a link and you're building in seconds. You can add it to the home screen so it feels like an app, but there's nothing to install or update.

What do you do with my child's data?

Almost nothing is collected about your child, nothing is sold, and the game your child plays has no third-party trackers. This marketing website uses basic, privacy-respecting analytics to count visits — never your child or their game. You can export or delete everything with one click. More on safety & data →

Is there a free version, or do I pay per child?

One $30$20 payment per family, not per child. You can play the real game in your browser first with no sign-up, and there's a 7-day refund you run yourself — one tap inside the game, instant, no email needed.

Is it too scary or violent?

No. It's peaceful by design — no monsters, no combat, no dying, no health or hunger. Just building, friendly animals, and villages.

Do you add new things to the game?

Yes. Something new to earn arrives every month — a national park, a tool, a piece of armor, a block, or an animal. It's unlocked by learning, like everything else, and is included in your one-time payment. How it's earned →

Does new content cost extra?

No. New content is never sold. It's included in the one-time $30$20 and unlocked by learning, never by paying.
